Default ipod hook up

i have a 1999 trans am and would like to keep my factory radio but wondering if there is anyway i can hook up my ipod to it with out using radio frequency. anybody have any ideas?

Have you done a search? Oh, sorry, you're the first one to ask this.

You may be able to use an adapter such as the GM9-AUX (standard auxiliary input) or the iSimple (iPod specific connection) depending on your head unit. If it's cassette, the adapters will work. If it's CD, the adapters may work - 99 was the year GM added that capability to CD head units, some 99s work, some don't.

You can also make a very inexpensive modification inside your head unit that adds an auxiliary input jack: How you can add an aux input/mp3 player without an adapter.

ISimple IS77 It will work regardless of the year.

Yes, but that is FM modulation - not nearly as good as a direct connection and it provides no control of the iPod from the radio controls.
