I have an 02 SS with 17k miles that I plan to show this season. Now, I am also a C-grade mechanic (at best) & don't want to break anything. So, here comes my dumb question....how in the hell do you remove the door panels? I have a blown front driver side speaker & need to replace it, but am afraid to break something getting into it. I would also like to replace the speaker myself so I can use the extra cash for more performance parts.
Thanks & sorry if this is one of those questions that get asked all the time. I did a search & found nothing actually showing how to get to the speaker. Thanks again.

In the TA world there are 4 screws...... There is a triangular plaque beside the side view mirror held by one screw. That = 5 screws total. you must remove the lock mechanism (plastic lever). Unplug the wire harnesses from the switches and push them through the door panel. After this lift up on the panel. Be precise yet strong. Best of luck!

Here is another link that might help.
Camaro door panel removal step by step:

Be careful with the locating pins behind the triangle up by the mirror. They will fall out and get lost.

Finally got the speaker & had some time to tear into it...man it really was easy! It took me all of three minutes to get the panel back on. I was super amazed at how easy it went on....I must have just gotten lucky. Thanks again for the write-ups, they really helped!

Not to mention those insanely long screws that hold the panel on.
