Default VATS system bypass question -electronics guys

I am in the process of doing the VATS bypass on my 94 Trans Am . I went to radio shack to get the resistors to add up to 1470 OHMS which was no problem. I got a 1K and a 470. The only thing there was 3 choices of resistors--1 watt, 1/2 watt and 1/4 watt..I got 1/2 watt because basically it was in the middle. Can anyone tell me if this is OK??
I already soldered them and they add up to 1465 but I'm not sure if the watt matters for what I'm doing.
Thank You

I did some googlizing and found that 1/2 watt is fine. I guess that answers my question
