You need to find a empty location in the radio frequency range. Otherwise you'll get static and noise from other stations. It took me a while, but I found one that is clear. Another downside to FM modulation is that not all of the frequencies in a song as transmitted (the upper end of the highs and the lower end of the lows get cut off). In short, its like comparing a FM Radio station to a CD. If I can find the cables cheap, I'm going for it. Otherwise, I'll live with FM modulation.
It appears to be a pass-through connection. You can get more information in the threads I linked to in my previous post.

I'm really trying to avoid putting an aftermarket headunit in my car that would probably get stolen. I am trying to make the best of the stock radio since it probably won't get stolen.
If anyone else has any info, please post up.

I wonder what antenna that unit uses?
What are the euro antenna adapters?
I like how small that unit is. I want something I can hide in the console.

This unit comes with the micro antenna. You can actually wire it inside your car as long it has a clear view of the sky. Mine in my Z28 was velcroed to the rear deck inside the car, worked perfect.

Just as a reference look at part # GM-30

BestBuy (probably CircuitCity too) carries adapters to convert from GM's small connector to the aftermarket large connector and back.

The "small end" looks like the connectors on the XM Antenna unless you mean this one:
