Default Monsoon Amp and Signal Processors/EQ

Hi, I have a 97 Trans AM with Monsoon. Since the speakers blew, I replaced the fronts with components and the subs with new bazooka dual voice coils. I have a new aftermarket HU powering the stock Monsoon amp.

I was wondering if anyone has added a signal processor or external EQ to this type of setup. I am just trying to get more overall control over the sound without replacing the amp and rewiring everything. My problem with adding an EQ/processor is how to get the signal to the monsoon amp. Most EQs have speaker level inputs, but line level outputs. I know the monsoon amp has speaker level inputs only.

Is it possible to run speaker level inputs from the HU to the EQ/processor, then use RCA-speaker level adapters to convert the line level output of the EQ to a speaker level input for the monsoon amp?? Thanks for any insight!

No, you can't convert line level signal to speaker level without an amplifier.
