1) you will lose your stereo effect signal separation if you load your mids in parallel. The effects of driving a single parallel load with two different amp channels receiving two different source signals will be detrimental and likely damaging.
2) The improved sensitivity level of your new components will outweigh any current loss from the increased 4 Ohm impedance. A 4 Ohm load is safe for your amp.
3) Since you have a camaro, and a non-convertible set of components, you're probably going to have to jerry-rig some way to mount your tweeters.
