Stereo install questions
Stereo install questions Ok, I've spent quite a lot of time trying to figure out what i need to do but I either don't understand or can't find it, so excuse me if these are stupid questions. lol
Within the month me and my brother (the one who actually knows what he's doing) will be installing a digital 5 channel amp and sub with stealth box in my trans am. Our plan is to power the door speakers, hatch speakers, and sub with the amp and just do away with the sail panel speakers. I already have an aftermarket head unit and the speakers are in the car and not even a year old.
My questions are: are there any specific parts I need to make sure to get? Am i going to run into any wiring problems with monsoon amp?
And please provide me with any feedback or information i need as this is all new to me. lol

Are the door and hatch speakers factory or aftermarket?
If they are factory you may run into issues as those speakers are odd impedances; so they may not be stable on the amp, or you may have volume/distortion issues with them.
If they're aftermarket, or being replaced as well, then you should be good to go.
As far as the Monsoon amp; I'd just remove it, or bypass it and run all new wiring from the new amp to the speakers.
