Default steering wheel control adapters..is one preferred over another?

Im gonna be replacing my head unit and buying a steering wheel control adapter just wanted to see if one is better then the others. The radio will be a pioneer with the plug in the back for the adapter.

Dennis can speak to this better than me, but I'd say get the Metra Axxess SWC for simplicity. Easy installation, there's a good install guide in the forum already.

If you like to tinker and want to play with adding some functionality not included with the OEM wheel controls, you can try the Idatalink SW. I haven't ever messed with one but you can add custom functions by holding the buttons down, effectively adding new button features you never had before but your HU supports.

I wouldn't bother with the PAC module, overpriced and a PITA to install in comparison with the Metra Axxess.
