Default ERROR when installing factory CD player

I have a 99 camaro SS with the monsoon system, about 6 months ago i changed the headunit out, but now i am trying to put back in my factory cd player and i am getting a error message....the radio works, but when you put a cd in, it says error and spits it back out. Is this do to the theftlock or something. Also when i took it i just disconected the wires, i dont know if i skipped a step or something,,, please help

I dont think it has anything to do with TheftLoc. If that was the case, then you probably wouldn't be able to use the radio at all. The problem is probably with the CD player itself. There are times when mine wont accept a CD either. Its usually on a cold morning when it can't pull the CD in all the way (stops part way, makes noise and spits it out). But thats probably not your problem. Try a CD lens cleaning kit first.
