Cant afford HIDs right now. Anyone used Sylvania Superstar Ultras or Sylvania ZXEs? Just looking for best driving light, not trying to look cool. Suggestions, input, opinions? What about PIAAs Extreme White or whatever they are? Best bang for the buck..?

All those bulbs you listed use a blue coating on the bulb which limits the light output. It only makes the light whiter. If you are looking for the next best alternative then look into getting HIR's or a set of philips x-treme bulbs. GE nighthawks are also a good option.

... yeah, and then you can be another one of those ******** that blinds everybody else on the road because they put HIDs in halogen reflector housings.

Ebay is the way to go. Might as well get some HIDS from ebay at the same price as Sylvania.

Maybe I have some underpowered hids but I never been flashed by on comming traffic.

Like most people, I seldom flash cars that have those HID kits because it doesn't do any good. The kind of person who would install them isn't going to care that he's annoying everyone else on the road just as long as he can have his glaring bright lights - so I simply mutter "*******" under my breath and move on.
