Ohm and amp question
The Kicker door speaker peak power handling is 195 watts and the RMS power handling is 65 watts. The Kicker subs peak power handling is 150 watts and the RMS power handling is 150 watts.

"Camaro coupes have component 6.5S 2-ohm mids and .75" 4-ohm tweeters mounted coaxially in the doors (they look like ordinary coax speakers but are actually wired as separate components), single voice coil 6.5S 2-ohm subs in the sail panels, and 4" 4-ohm full-range speakers in the hatch area. All eight elements are powered by the amp."
As far as the efficiency of the speakers themselves, and whether you "need" a bigger amp to drive them, you need to look at the sensitivity ratings, not how much wattage they can handle.
4 Ohm loads are the safest and offer the greatest stability in mobile audio applications. They also offer the best damping. Lower impedance levels are fine if your amp is designed to handle them, and allow for greater current flow. So there's no right or wrong answer, just depends how conservative you are and what you want from your system.
