Default How can I check to see if my monsoon amp is bad?

I just upgraded the headunit in my car to a nice alpine unit. In doing so I was hoping to get a slightly better sound from the stock speakers because of the easier to adjust audio settings compared to the stock headunit I had. That didn't happen. The clarity is there and from that end they sound pretty decent but they just lack any bass at all. It sounds so flat no matter how I adjust the settings. Could this be an issue with the factory amp being bad or is this pretty par for stock speakers?

It's not the amp. Monsoon amps don't fail very often but when they do they don't produce sound at all (rather than changing the tone). Your OEM sail panels subs are probably dead. You can replace them with several models of dual voice coil subs including the very popular Bazookas for around $100.
