Default What double din are you using and why?

Hey gang! I'm shopping for a new Head Unit. I have a double din bezel and would like touch screen and the ability to play tuns off my android phone. I'm also installing a Sub, new sail panel and door speakers as well. What HU's would you look at and why? As it stands, I'm leaning on the Pioneer AVH series....

Thanks for input!

I use a Sony XAV 601-BT and I love it. I chose it over units from Pioneer and Kenwood because it has a great interface. To me that was a big deal, plus it does everything that is pretty much standard in head units now. Bluetooth, DVD, even Navigation if you buy a cable for your phone (I believe iPhone only). It took me a couple months to decide which one I wanted but I'm glad I decided on this one. Here's some pictures but you can check it out on YouTube.

I'm using a pioneer avh something (can't remember the model off hand) I chose pioneer basically because I had the double din with the hard drive in it which was in my work truck. The roads that I drive on are really bad lease roads with huge washboard and holes. 150,000 miles worth of driving on those roads basically. They beat the snot out of the entire truck. I had not ONE problem with that deck period. That's why I went with pioneer. The rest of the options are comparable from one brand to another but if the dang thing doesn't work then the options and bells/whistles don't really mean anything do they. Just my .02

I'm interested in this topic as well. I plan to go double din and also want a touchscreen.

Mattygritt, who did your bezel or did you modify it yourself, it looks factory?

I ordered it from Double D Mods, I believe they're a sponsor of the site. They matched the factory paint to the tee! It looks amazing only con is it took about 10 weeks to get!

Always been a fan of the pioneer HU. I got my car with a JVC KW-AV61 and for $210 brand new for a touchscreen double din I cannot complain. It has all the basics and its very easy to use. Has all the hook ups to run my 5 channel amp and usb/aux inputs. Great HU for the price.

Pioneer's 2014 ddins, avh 2600,4600,5600, have android music control like ipod, vi usb. They also have an additional cable for mirrorlink. Not all phones have mirrorlink (gs3 and 4 do) but it shows your phone screen on the deck and gives you control of your phone through the decks touch screen. Pretty much everbody has all the other features already mentioned, bt, usb, aux, 3 preout, steering wheel control compatibility. I like alpine, but pioneer has the ddin to buy. Features, user friendly, quality, accessories, iphone 5, android, reliability

Kenwood DNX for the past couple of years. It has some of the cleanest pre outs I've heard, not quite as harsh as the Pioneer units. The Garmin NAV is nice. The only complaint I have is it won't sync contacts since I upgraded to a new iPhone, so very few of the voice commands work with the phone feature.

I just picked up a JVC NSX7000 to do full mirrorlink with my S4. Chose it because the price was right, the features seem good, and it seemed to be well confirmed to work nicely with the S4.

Ended up finding an open box from Crutchfield last week and it was $355 shipped. Not bad, really. Sent off a spare bezel to DD mods and picked up the PAC SWI-RC off Amazon for $40 shipped. Car won't leave the garage for another 2-3 months, so I am not in any real rush to get it slapped in there.
