Help on a amp please!
Help on a amp please! I have 2 12" CDT HD-1200CFS subs OTW. I need a amp for these.
I am on a LOW budget and these 2 amps seem to have good reviews.
Planet Audio AC4000.1D 4,000-Watt Max Power Class D Monoblock Power Amplifier
and
Power Acoustik CPT1-1500 Mono Block 1500 Watt Amp / Selectable 45Hz Bass Boost / Dash Mount Remote Gain Control; Direct 2 ga. Speaker Terminals
Will either of these work?

OK, your subs are single 4-ohm voice coils rated at 250 RMS / 500 peak each. this means you want to look for a quality CEA-2006 Compliant amp that does between 300-500 RMS @ 2 ohms.
the Planet Audio even being overrated would still likely be to much power for those subs, the Power Acoustic is likely overrated as well but would probably test in that 300-500 RMS range if I had to bet on it, but I think you would be better off just getting a amp that you can trust the numbers on by looking at ones that are CEA-2006 compliant in the 300-500 RMS @ 2 Ohm range.
