Question 2000 Camaro Interior Light Problem

I have a 2000 Camaro Convertible 3.8L Automatic. None of my interior lights are getting power (the dash lights work and will dim). I have checked the fuse and it's good. Is there anything else I can check. The lights in the mirror do not come on or the light next to the back seat. I have checked for voltage but there is is nothing.

You should probably go back and check the fuses again. Never rely on a visual inspection of old fuses because they can be blown but still look fine. Always use a tester or replace with a known good fuse.

In this case, there are two fuses you need to check - #8 COURTESY and #9 GAUGES. The interior courtesy lights are controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM) and those are the two fuses that protect it.

In the unlikely event that it is not a fuse, you'll have to do further diagnostics to determine if there is a break in the circuit wiring somewhere or whether the BCM itself needs to be replaced.
