Speaker Aggravation
Speaker Aggravation Hey guys, it's been a LONG time since I have been hanging around in here but, I need some help. Years ago I replaced my stock Monsoon co-ax speakers with some Infinity Kappas that were great (for my taste) but have since blown out. These were a direct replacement for the stock speakers having a separate connection for the tweeter and mid (just like the stock wiring). I bought two pair of Rockford Fosgate R1675X2 a while back from Sonic Electronix (and was told they were direct replacements) but, I just today got around to installation. Much to my surprise, they only have one connection and are a "no-go" with the existing wiring. I have no desire or intention to get into any rewiring or replacing the Monsoon system. I just want some decent speakers that I can wire straight up like I did with the Infinitys. No muss. No fuss. Anyone got any suggestions on where I can find such an animal. Crutchfield was no help as they have no speakers available that wire up that way. AND... Sonic Electronic will not take the Rockfords back. Am I S-O-L?? 
DON'T go by anything saying it will fit, you NEED a 6.5" COAXIALLY MOUNTED COMPONENT speaker, this is a COMPONENT speaker that allows the tweeter to be mounted in the middle of the cone. a standard 2-way only has the one set of connectors which is wrong and is what those rockfords are.
