Installation kit 02 s10
Installation kit 02 s10 Where can I get a installation kit at? Going to be installing a boss bv9965 7 inch screen HU. For my daily drive turd s10. GF got it for me. So what do I need to install it?
well I would start by listing it on craigslist or returning it to the store, but hey I'm just the guy who has lost an amp due to a crappy headunit that sent a hard pulse thru the RCA at every shutoff so I have learned to not even risk it, plus mixing cheap brands (literally you can buy that radio NEW for a 100 bucks online) and flip out motorized screens is never a good idea, the good brands have enough issues with the motorized screens.
OK, now with that out of the way it, what you need depends on wether the car has On Star or not and may have an upgraded audio option, not sure about the S-10's but other trucks around those years had a standard audio using the headunit for power and other models, usually the ones with Onstar, had a factory amp.
I would say go to the Metra Dash Kit or Scosche website and walk thru the vehicle options and see what parts it lists, then get the single din dash kit (typically has a pocket) and the appropriate wire harness, or just go to walmart and find the kits listed for your model year like everyone did before the internet existed.

Right on, yeah she bought it and this is just so I can actually listen to a iPod and ****. It's a beater s10 to and from work and need my jams. Will be factory components and **** so if it plays then it is perfect haha.
Bummer on the amp, I burnt some up in my younger years. Well went to Walmart and got the ****. Slightly disappointed because the wiring connector is not correct. Have a 02 s10 and says it fits, it doesn't. Then looked at s10 blazer and Isuzu hombre same **** as s10 and they take a different connector and probably the connector I need. Guessing mine is a late 02 year and has 03 wiring.
