Exhaust cut out
Anyhow I have a doug's headers cut out that stopped working so I took it apart and found that the reduction gearbox is full of cheap gears missing teeth.
So I have a couple of options
1. Replace the motor and gear box
2. Use the motor and gearbox from a better cut out
3. New cut out
I like the theory of the dougs design. It seems less likely to leak and rattle than the butterfly cut out. I also discovered vacuum powered cut outs that you can control. These also seem very tempting and less likely to rattle
So what are your thoughts? Is going to a vacuum powered cut out worth it? Or stick with electric
Thanks!
