What stereo system do I need!
What stereo system do I need! I currently have 2 JE 10s In the back hatch with a 4000 watt amp. The rest of the speakers sound horrible and the monsoon factory amp is missing. Looking for an awesome sounding system. What do you guys recommend. I'm looking for something well balanced. Right now there is way too much bass and speakers sound like crap.
Have you replaced the rest of the other speakers? If not you are probably going to need to. Kee audio sells packages specifically for our cars but you can go whichever direction you like. Any newer head unit will probably sound way better than the 15 year old monsoon unit.

Do you know if the Monsoon amp is still in the system? I've always hated them, and would suggest rewiring if so.
Also, are you trying to amplify the inside speakers with anything other than the headunit? Internal amps are not very impressive on aftermarket units. Better than stock headunits, but still not very powerful.
Is that amp really advertised as 4000 watts? Sounds like a fishy rating on that. Lots of lower priced options will really balloon their claimed wattage.

the factory amp is completely gone. And yes the JE amp said 4000. Could be high idk. But I haven't looked to see where it is set at but it pushes those 10s hard.....too hard. LOL. Im thinking best option is to go with KEE audio kit. Seems like it is hard to make these cars sound good with the limited amount of speakers they have.
