Good 10inch sub ???
Good 10inch sub ??? Just looking to run a 10 inch sub with maybe that box they make to fit in the passenger side rear panel. Is this a good option and placement for these f bodies? Not looking for anything crazy, just 200-400rms? Any opinions on what box, amp, and sub i should get. I have a good clarion head unit already installed. Thanks.
I think you mean the one that mounts in the driver side corner.
I think the specs on that box are .75cu ft and like 7" mounting if I'm not mistaken. I'd look for a DVC sub and a mono amp. A lot depends on your budget though.

I have an Alpine type R. Its 10" and its in one of those custom boxes for the side of fbody hatches. It sounds really clean. Its connected to a kicker amp and its more than enough. I think its around 1000watts rms. The amp is placed where the spare tire used to be. My only concern was overheating in 112*+ weather but so far no problem.
I would recommend an Alpine Type S, or a Kicker Comp R. Both will have somewhat close RMS power handling, and both will give you nice, clean bass.
Pick an amp in the 300-400 RMS range. Avoid Pioneer and Kenwood. Kicker also makes great amps.
Aftermarket stereo or factory? If factory you'll need a Line Out Converter, and make sure you get a decent quality one.

A shallow mount sundown audio 10 in a .75 cf box with 300rms clean will sound nice. It'll cost more then some of the subs recommend but it'll last forever and if you want it could handle a ton more power.

Verdad Gallardo I had a Sundown SD-3 10 in mine at first and it started making a rattling noise so I replaced it with a B2 sub which handles 750 rms and sounds better.

Sounds Solutions Audio makes some badass subs might want to check them out. The 10" DCON would be perfect for your needs. I'll be running a 12" XCON but thats a whole different animal and install. Their subs are built and preform extremely well and are MADE IN AMERICA!

I'm using a 10" Pioneer champion sub. It's around 350RMS. It hits hard with great midbass, and I'm using a box not built to spec. Clarity and response is excellent. And best of all, it was like $80 shipped to my door.
I just changed from some older JL Audio subs (about 10 yrs old) to some of the higher end Memphis subs. I was very surprised once I broke them in, how much harder they hit than my older JL's that were some of the best back then.
