Default Radio barely works 00 z28

Ive got a 2000 z28. Everything inside the car is original. Has the monsoon system. Cassette player. It picks up limited stations on the radio and even with the volume cranked way up, you can barely hear it. Cant figure out whats wrong. Any suggestions?

Bad radio can reduce output, so to be sure put a tape in and try it. Make sure your fade and balancer are centered so it isn't putting all the power to a dead speaker. Last would be to connect another speaker to the car or try one of the rear speakers on another radio. Most likely the radio as it would be odd for all speakers to die at the same time.

I used a cassette aux. And the volume is much louder with the aux. But a couple of my speakers arent working at all. I assume the problem was just those 2 bad speakers

Which ones? The sail panel speakers beside the passenger seats are powered by the factory amp for lows. The ones under that hatch are the rear as I understand it. I've only changed 4 speakers on mine so far as I slowly swap everything and listened to it almost none.
