Default Alpine KTP-445U factory miswire?

So, I am connecting the Alpine KTP-445U up this weekend, and I notice that the speaker outputs appear to be half backward. + and - alternate RL to FL and then FR to RR. The attached image is what the connector looks like from the front.

- is on top for two. + is on top for two. Is that right?

Go by the wire colors not by position. The position in the connector is somewhat arbitrary but was probably done to put some space between adjacent positives and negatives for some reason (noise reduction?).

That is what I was doing, but I just noticed the offset + and - and was curious if that was intentional or a mistake.
