Sound deadening T-Top roof... good idea or useless??

Default Sound deadening T-Top roof... good idea or useless??
Is there any point in adding sound deadener to the roof of a T-Top car? Seems like it would do nothing since there are T-Tops and rubber gaskets for sound to still get through.
