2001 Firebird new door problem

2001 Firebird new door problem Recently had a new drivers side door put on my 01 Firebird and every time I go to unlock it and then open the door the security system goes off. What's causing this issue?
And part 2, the key fob no longer unlocks the door, gotta do it manually with the key. Any suggestions here?
Edit: found out today that the key fob works when the car is already (manually) unlocked. When the car has been locked and the door is closed, the key fob stops working.
