Th sub box is around .70 cu. Used a little bit of polyfil for the sub box. I didn't care for the tweeters that came with the component set,so i have 4 more that are on their way. I wanted something a little brighter and the others were a little soft for my taste. Front crossovers are in the kick panels and rear crossovers are in the hatch. I didn't want to loose my t-top area, thats why i built a "floating" amp rack and went with a single 10" instead of a dual or triple box that covered the t-top area. Amp rack is 1/2 mdf wrapped in carbon fiber. The rear speakers are 6.5". The way i did this was i bought some acrylic and cut it so it would fit over the stock speaker placement. Used hole saws and cut openings for the 6.5" woofer and 3"4 tweeter. Then wrapped those in carbon fiber wrap also. Not 100% perfect, was a little bit of a PITA. 0 GA wire running to a fused dist block. All power wire, speaker wire and rca's are OFC. Majority of the car has sound dampening in it.
I fired it up yesterday and did a little tweaking on the sub and shallow mounts. I had a few of these back in the day so i know what i was getting. Sub hits very hard, the kicker shallows really bring a strong field to the front of the car. Overall so far, i'm very pleased with the sound. Once i get the tweeters, i can install them, put everything back together and start tuning the system . Just thought i would share my little build with you.
