Black: ground
White: 12V dash lighting source - for dimming the display when the lights are on at night. You can use the brown wire behind the headlight switch or behind the radio, whichever is more convenient.
Yellow/green: This is explained on the next page of the instructions. Assuming you have a 99+ f-body (it always helps to tell us what vehicle you have), you can connect to tach output on the white wire at pin 10 in the red connector of the PCM. This varies by vehicle and year - in a '98 f-body it's the white wire at pin 35 of the blue PCM connector.

Thank you. I have a 2002 trans am ws6. Is there a way I can get through the firewall? I dont see anyway. This thing is a pain to do but I really want it hooked up.
