speakers dropping out, how to test?

speakers dropping out, how to test? About 8 years ago I put in new speakers from Kee Audio, Pioneer H/U and JL 5 channel amp. It used to sound amazing, now not so much. The drivers door speaker is barely making noise, the passenger side pops and drops out.
I'm "guessing" it's the speakers but I don't know for sure.
Is there anyway to test if it's the amp or the speakers?

Swap the speakers from one side to the other and see if the problems follow the speakers or stay on the same side. If they follow the speakers then it's the speakers causing the problem. If they stay on the same side then it's the wiring, amp, head unit, etc.
