Losing electrical power Ok so I have a 2000 firebird when I first bought it the radio would just cut off and cut right back on every couple minutes or so. So after doing some mods long tube headers and ls6 intake and I replaced the radio I got in it today to crank it and no power to anything radio,dash, anything I literally got out and went to pop the hood and heard the door chime so I got in it and it cranked right up. Got to the store and it did it again so i kicked the dash under the steering wheel and it regained power and drove home but the radio remained shutting on and off the whole time. Any advice would be really helpful.

Backtrack your radio power wire and ground wire towards the fuse box until you either find or lose power, find or lose a good ground. Fix that. Use a good multimeter. You could also substitute in a temporary power or ground wire to determine which side of the circuit is faulty.

Could be the BCM. My radio and windows were intermittent for a few months until I fixed mine. Was a quick fix, took less than an hour even for my first time soldering something.

The radio cutting out is almost certainly the BCM solder problem but that would not explain the loss of other power or starting. Something is loose somewhere.
