Default Which wiring is this?

I'm putting back the center console. I have 3 wires and I can see 2 of them go into the 12v outlet. What is the third one for? I have a 2001 non traction control trans am. I can only think it is there for traction control switch whether or not cars gad traction control

The traction control switch has four wires - pink, purple/white, brown/white, and black/white. That doesn't look like what you've got.

It's hard to tell from the photo... what wire colors are in that connector? It looks like pink, gray, black/white or maybe white/black, and presumably two others judging by the terminals in the connector. Knowing the wire colors would go a long way toward identifying the circuit.

so it is looking like everything you said plus this grey (to my eyes) wire. 5 wires total

Yes, that would seem to be the case. Perhaps the gray wire is for switch illumination because it's not listed as part of the switch circuitry itself. But the colors sure match up otherwise.

thanks. I hope that is the case. I still can't imagine what else it can be. Nothing else left to plug into. And from what I read, that connection is there regardless if traction control equipped model or not...
