Default Size of battery in the spare tire area?
I am going to relocate my battery to the spare tire area, and I am curious if anyone knows how large of a battery will fit?

I have no idea what will actually fit, but here's a table of the various 12V battery group numbers and their dimensions that might help...

I'm about to try to fit a group 74 tray and the stock battery. I can let you know how it goes at the end of the day

I measured my spare tire area, and looks like the largest cube that will fit is 16"long, 8" wide, 22" tall.

I am going to shoot for an XS Power D7500 battery. - 13.35" long, 6.81" wide, 10.91" tall

I fit the stock battery in mine. It actually sits above the spare well across it...

Ok, so I mocked up the size of an XS D7500 using an old Amazon box, and it looks like it will fit. That battery plus a Mechman 250A alternator should be able to handle 1500W RMS of amps and extra gauges and cooling fans.
