The standard double DIN opening is 180mm x 100.3mm (approximately 7" x 4"), so I would expect that their opening would be just a small amount larger than that to allow for a smooth fit.

WhiteBird00 is right. 3 13/16 x 6 13/16 to be exact. I recently installed that bezel in my Camaro along with a Kenwood DMX958XR. Fits perfectly! I originally tried the Metra but wasn't crazy about the finish or the gap at the bottom. The Metra does seem to be of slightly stronger construction but I prefer the finish and color of the one from Screaming Chicken. The clips aren't very good though so I would still use the ones from your original bezel.

Metra

Kenwood DMX958XR installed.

I absolutely hate touch screen/large screen radios in general, and I hate them exponentially more when installed in an older car like this. However, even though it's not my personal style, I can certainly appreciate a seamlessly integrated modification that looks like it *could* have been OEM. Nice fit & finish, clean install above!

Hi Eric. I love the stereo. It's amazing how much better it works than a Kenwood Excelon that I purchased four years ago. Of course, that one wasn't top of the line and it still works well, but the DMX958XR is great! Sure, I wish it had a volume ****, but none of them do any more and it would probably make for a smaller screen size. I went with the Axxess ASWC-1 Steering Wheel Control interface. The original Monsoon amp was replaced with a Rockford Fosgate TM400X4ad. A Metra 70-2002 radio connector was used and I pinned it to allow me me to easily tap into the factory wiring harness from the original amp connector so I could use the existing speaker wires. I have the CDT Audio ES-60CV.2 speakers in the front doors and mounted the supplied crossovers to the back of my amp mount adapter that I fashioned out of 1/8" ABS. To keep what limited trunk space that these vehicles have, I place a Cerwin Vega VS12SH shallow mount subwoofer in the spare tire. Not a perfect solution for bass but certainly does make a difference.

I like this, a lot, I've watched TWA Motorsports conversion a few times, and that and this are tempting. Like @RPM WS6 I'm not crazy about this type of swap, hell I rarely turn the radio on any way, but it'd be nice to be able send what I do want to listen to through the speakers (without burning a cd - who does that anymore).
