Help with windows!
switch driver and passanger, the locks and the hatch button all stopped working. Did he miss anything or forget to connect a connector or does an alarm wire have anything to do with it? Please any help is appreciated. The fuse is good, don’t think the bcm is the problem because the windows worked just fine before putting the dash back in
So first, you should check that your have power at the Windows circuit breaker (there is no fuse) in the dash fuse panel. That circuit breaker is known to fail over time and can, in fact, be replaced with a 30A fuse if you don't want to get another circuit breaker. I suspect that the circuit breaker is the problem since both sides went out at the same time. If you had been doing work in the doors then the left side window switch would be suspect because it feeds both side door switches.
As far as the door locks and hatch release, it is likely that the COURTESY fuse is blown - it powers much of the BCM. Never rely on a visual inspection of a fuse, especially one which may be over 20 years old, fuses can be blown without showing any visible signs. Always either test with a meter or fuse tester, or simply replace with a known good fuse.
