Default Adding a switch to the power antenna, need ideas

I listen to CD's mostly. The power antenna goes up even while playing CD's I'd like to add a switch to turn off the antenna and flip it back on when in FM mode. Does the radio pick up a decent signal while antenna is retracted? The car is covered when not in use which is often. Sometimes I turn the key on with cover not completely removed and the antenna tries to lift the cover off. I've learned not to do that anymore. Is there a fuse for the power antenna only? I could pull the plug on the antenna motor and add a switch to just the power wire. Im sure someone has done something like this before. I cleaned the antenna mast with WD-40 yesterday and it was filthy. I've seen the hidden antenna idea. I'd like to keep the power antenna and use it when I want to, saving the motor life etc. thanks

After looking at the Monsoon FAQ post, I think the pink wire (#8) behind the Monsoon is the wire that needs to be switched. Can anyone confirm? hate to just start cutting wires.

Disregard, I found it on this site. It is the pink wire that needs to be switched as I thought.
