Talking Drivers window ?

Hello ,
My 02 camaro drivers window will only move a couple inches at a time , then if it sits for a while it will move a couple more inches .
the auto down does not work either , I can hear a relay clicking under the steering column .
Everything else works fine. only 3800 miles on it.
Any help would be great.

My guess is the 22 year old power window motor is dying.

Sounds like a pretty typical failure mode, but failing at 3800 miles is not exactly typical. Assuming the car was always stored indoors (free from dirt and debris gumming up the window tracks) and the window was never used in such a way as to wear out the motor prematurely, I wouldn't expect it to fail just because of age. Both of the motors on my '98 are original at almost 27 years old (but only 19k miles), and they actually haven't slowed down even a bit. Perhaps yours was just a factory defective motor from the beginning and it's taken a while to expose itself due to the limited use.
