Default Manual Headlight Door Control

"Hi. I used to live in north west NJ. Would get lots of ice storms and snow. A 98 Firebird was my daily driver and I put a switch in the center console glove box to raise the headlights when the car was parked, but no lights were on. That was so if ice/snow storm came while I was working, ice would not have to be hacked off the headlights to get them up (and also prevent scratching the paint). "

That was in 2000. Flash forward, now I have a 2002 Trans Am with the same wire diagram as the 98. I recall running a wire through the center console to a spst rocker switch in the console box. Trans Am has a coin holder in that space, V6 had a blank. Good place for switches.

Gave the car to my daughter 10 years ago. Called her and she told me if the switch was "on" the headlights went up but no lights. Turn off and the headlights closed. Headlight switch could be on or off. (btw she said in NJ this was a wonderful upgrade because of the snow and ice storms they get).

So... I am reading the wire diagrams again trying to figure out how I did it? My daughter has since sold the car. It has been 10 years since I saw that car. Can anyone look at the diagram and help me remember what I did? I would like to make same mod here because we don't get more than 1/2 inch snow, we do get ice storms.

Grrr.. Apparently I can't upload the wire diagram because it is not the right format. Will find one and post.
