Steering Wheel Radio Controls - Pinout?
Hey gang, I'm using an 01 Camaro wheel with stereo controls in my Roadmaster, but I could use some wire ID help. I only have the wire from the SIR coil/clockspring down my steering column. I have only been able to find wire info for the connector after my connector.
Here's a picture of the wires on the harness (I removed the plug to make it easier to snake down the steering column). From what I've found, yellow should be 12v. Can anyone shed some light on the rest? I would do some additional testing, but I need to have my battery disconnected for the time being for other reasons.
Yellow = 12v?
Black/white stripe = ground for illumination?
Grey = ?
Light green = Signal?

Those don't match with the four steering wheel control wire colors. The gray/black would be power for the switch illumination and the yellow is power for the switches themselves, but the output should be black for ground for the illumination and dark blue for the switches signal to the head unit.

Thanks for that; of course it doesn't call out wire color prior to C217. I guess I'll just put 12V to yellow and test which other wire outputs a variable resistance when buttons are pushed and use that as my signal wire.
