So my car eats batteries ever since I bought it off Moe like 12 years ago or something. I don't drive it much, it's almost always on a trickle charger. This is like the 6th or 7th battery I'm going to be needing.
I did install a battery cutoff but I always forget to turn it off lol.
I'm not into sound systems like I used to be. Something has to be killing my battery. Can I delete all this aftermarket sound system stuff or will my speakers stop working? I'm not sure how it's wired.
Yes, you can and should delete all the aftermarket sound system wiring. It is the most likely cause of your parasitic drain. Your factory speakers will not work afterward, but it will stop killing your batteries.
My guess is the sound system will still work after removing the cap and wires. Those appear to have went to a subwoofer but are disconnected, you can see the d rings laying there in the well. Likely, the source of the parasitic drain.

I have a lot of it disconnected in the picture. I was taking out my battery since it's dead lol.

I want my speakers to work but I don't really want to rip the entire car apart if I have to rewire it.
I should be able to just delete the capacitor and leave everything else alone or atleast as a starting point? Then try to unplug amp and see what happens I guess.
