12 cd changer

12 cd changer I have a 12 disk cd changer in the trunk of my vert. Does anyone else have problems with them skipping when you hit a bump 
It is tightened down all the way too. Could it possibly be going bad Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

It skipped before I lowered my vert and after. It does not matter how much you tighten it down because it is on a suspension of it's own that really does not work (as you can tell). Some times it skips so bad that I wonder if it is going to start back up again. So now I have elected to pull the monsoon and install a whole new aftermarket setup.

Yeah, I was thinking about going with an in-dash cd player, but I kind of like not having to deal with changing the cd's out all the time.....oh well, guess I will just have to live with it then....thanks for the help guys

The hot tip is probably -not- to bolt it down tight,
but to make an isolation pad for it (to soak up the
abrupt bangs). On my list of neat stuff to try that
I will never get around to. Like, glue 1" of foam
rubber between two plates of {something not too
ugly}, screw down bottom plate to the trunk pan and
top plate to the changer case.
In-dash, a single-CD MP3-playing head unit will hold
about as much music on one data CD as the whole
changer full of audio CDs will, anyway.
