tranny temp gauge install question
tranny temp gauge install question I am wanting to wire the light on my temp gauge to the headlight switch, so that the gauge light comes on with all the other gauges. What wire should I splice into to do this? HELP ASAP please!!!

Uhhh..an ignition wire. Im not sure how many amps they pull but you may also want to consider adding a relay if its alot. If you have a volt meter test the wires under the steering column until you find one that has +/-12v when the ignition is on and almost none when the switch is off.
No i'm just talking about the wire for the light, not the wire for the gauge itself. Sorry, i should have mentioned that it is an electric gauge, not mechanical. I am talking about wiring the light into the back of the headlight switch

Im not sure what wire it is, but you can easily pull the pannel out where the switch is. Be careful cause in my car, my lights come on automatically, im not so sure the wire going to the swich goes hot once they come on.
