Hi,

as title says... how much sound deadening is needed to do the complete car for sound deadening... ie, on the floor, doors, trunk.

I'd say close to 100. It took about 65 for single cab Sierra.

parts of the car aren't all that necessary, and on some parts, 2 layers are almost essential.

so far i have used 120sqft of matt and 1 1/2 gallons of liquid deadener in my 98 firebird. i havent yet hit the plastic panels, so i figure another half gallon of liquid will go on those.

i got a recent post in this section where you can see my deadening job. i didnt mess around and figured i might as well do it right and deaden the living **** out of it than just lay a single layer down and then wish i had done more.

i cant tell you in words how 'dead' it is inside now. even with the interior still out of it i can tell a noticable difference already.
