I guess these FoBs will not work for our cars.

I guess these FoBs will not work for our cars.
Well, I bought these from ebay and followed the instructions per the manual, and these did not work. So I guess since they are for newer vehicles I cant use them, can someone confirm this? Also I have 2 of these I will trade for the correct one.

Hmmm. Mine read: GM 16245100-29 Canada: 218101368 Model/FCCID: ABO1502T Don't know what to tell you, except: Are you sure the batteries are good in both units? And, Your's have no GM part # on back.....Aftermarket, maybe? They LOOK exactly like mine....We need someone else's help here. BTW, my car is a '02.... WJ

those look like the right fobs but they arent... you need Fobs that have ABO1502T on them, those are the only ones that work on fbodys. They may all look the same but they use different ones to keep from some guy popping the doors on a trans am when he tries to open his cavalier one day.

While we're talking about remotes, I have a related question: I lost 1 remote. Got another and am about to program it in. When I program the replacement remote, will it change the program in my existing remote, and will I have to re-program it, as well? Or will the original just work w/out fooling with it? Thanks. WJ
