Default Steering Wheel Controls

It appears that the lights on my steering wheel have gone out on the right side. I also have a little trouble at times trying to turn the volume up from that control. What the best way to fix this problem? Is there replacement switches and bulbs for these? TIA

Its gonna be a small LED not a bulb but i have no idea about changing switches, sounds like a steering wheel from ebay type solution.

Here's a TTT for you. I am having the same problem with the left side of my steering wheel controls. The bulb is burned out and I have no idea how to replace it. My haynes manual says nothing about this problem. Can anyone help us out???

Its broken, myne did the same thing. I replaced the lights with LEDs but they didnt work, I took the LEDs out to test them and they worked fine, then a week later the control quit working all together.... It just gets old and dies, your best bet is to find a set in a junk yard.

the LEDs didnt work... hmmm did you have em in backwards, they are still a diode and will only emit light when correctly biased. that is really the only reason i can think of for them not to work. look at me, going off about stuff i went to school for. I need a job, im too bored, I am troubleshooting a circuit you dont even have anymore. Sucks being laid-off.

Maybe someone more enlightened than the rest of us can tell me how to put a new bulb into the steering wheel. My right side controls still light up and all of my controls still work, just no lights on the left is all so it looks stupid at night.

Do you have to pull the airbag and entire front assembly off of the steering wheel to replace the lights?? I know that I have to replace them, its just how in the hell do you get to them????
