Gremlin in the brake lights....help

Gremlin in the brake lights....help So this is whats happening.I'm having a problem with my brake lights not coming on.not the third light just the other two.The deal is when the car is stationary all the lights work as advertised with the headlights on or off.
even if the car is in gear fwd or reverse the lights work.But...when I drive the car the only the single spoiler light works.when the headlights are on the spoiler light only comes on,and when they are off no brake lights....WTF!!
The fuse is good even though this is not the prob.Not to sure what to check any suggestions....or if U have seen this before..thanks.

well I found out the problem.seems that the brake wires run through the turn signal switch in the steering column.So when I move the wheel one knotch up or down from where I like to have it when I drive everything works fine.So obviously I'm pinching a wire in the column.Tried messing the wires to see if I could move them around with no success. So I guess next step is to replace the switch or deal with the position of the steering wheel now.66 bucks and looks like a pain going through the column to get to it.Has Anyone done this.Any suggestions???
