I have 10402859? They both may be the same.

Part number for Firebird is 10402860. Part number for Camaro is 10282646. Don't know why they have different numbers - they should be interchangeable.

The Camaro's antenna is a fixed mast, it is not powered. That is why it has a different part number.

Here is another thread on the topic:

You know what? I can read a parts manual better than that. The part number for the fixed mast Camaro antenna is 10425536. The one I quoted before is listed as "Ant, Radio Pwr (U75)".

I wasnt being rude. You didnt say that you have a manual with them listed. I just thought that you had it written down somewhere and didnt know what it was. Sorry.

I can't find 10402859 in either the Camaro or Firebird parts books but it is a valid number and is still available (although it's a few dollars more expensive than the 10402860). Where did you get the number? Off the antenna itself?

No, Im looking to get one. I got the #10402859 from a link in this post and i looked it up through gmpartdirect.com and like u said it is a few dollars more but im just wondering if they were the same. When i looked them up the 10402859 was for a camaro and the 10402860 was for the firebird. So will either one work?

Consecutive numbers are often used for left/right, Camaro/Firebird, etc. It's likely that 10402859 is the correct part and that my bootleg parts manual is showing either an earlier number or a later replacement number (I don't have a publication date for my parts manual).

Could it be that the numbers are model specific. Like the 859 for chevy and 860 for pontiac?

Well, yes, that's probably the case although I can't think of any reason that they would be different. The curve of the inner quarter panel is the same for mounting and there is only one electrical connection so they should be interchangeable. I suppose the hole for the mounting brace might be in a slightly different location or something.
