I have an '02 Z28 and noticed that the light around the tranny shifter doesn't light up at night anymore. I live here in the northeast and I'm thinking that the cold weather must have something to do with it, because the light does come on once in a while after the car has been driven for more than 10 miles. I don't know. It's no big deal, but I just want everything to work properly. What can I do to solve my problem? Thanks in advance for the info.

the bulb might just be loose, its easy to get to. there are 2 bolts under the change holder in your center console, and pop you shifter handle off but pullin the staple out of the front
the bulb sits is a little socket in the top piece of the console, you can either change it, make sure its snug in there, or replace it with a brighter LED
hope that helps -matt
