all lights flickering

Heres the deal. Whenever I start my car all lights, interior and exterior, flicker. They flicker faster when I rev the motor. The flickering usually stops about 10 or 15 minutes, but sometimes it just keeps on going. Is it the alternator? or something else

Sounds like a bad ground that might be loose. But it is probably you regulator in the alternator. Get a mulimeter and get some reading of your voltage out put. An older style analog voltmeter is perfect for this. The needle is very responsive to surges and slight changes in voltage and can "sense" fluctuations better. That is why they are still produced and usefull.

Mine was doing the exact same thing... Replaced the alternator and "Voila!" Problem solved!

Same here.. gotta look into a new alternator as well.

Mine is doing it as well. The lights are flickering some at night and the needle on the gauge is jumping around. I have a new Optima red top I'm going to put on, and I have a alt. on my 02 LS1 that I may pull off to see if that fixes it. From searching the posts, it seems like the regulator in the alt. is acting up.

Yep. Looked a little closer and that is definetly a MAJOR symptom that you need to replace the alterantor. Our's are internally regulated so you have to replace the whole unit.
