who can figure it out? Well I got the new model kicker mid-bass drivers in yesterday, started installing today. My drivers side speaker won't work.. I checked the current of the wires, and it was getting somewhere around 3 volts, I connected the wire to the speaker to see if it still got three volts, and alas NOTHING... unhooked the speaker, and then the wires had no voltage... What gives? The speakers pop when the ignition is turned on but thats it. I tried switching wires, I tried switching positive and negative (this is for both sets of + and - wires coming from the monsoon amp)....so who's got an idea here?
Blown speaker. Put the multimeter along the leads. Also do the same thing but move the speaker in and out. Could be a dead spot.
Put the other speaker on the same wiring. If you get sound then the speaker is definitely at fault.
Sounds like the AMP went into protection. Turn it off and wait 1 min. Turn back on. should reset.
