Keep HU - replace all the rest?
I want to keep my HU - can I chuck the amp and all the speakers and go from there?
A yes or no is fine, but if someone else has done this let me know what worked for you.
Thanks
Todd
Is this right ---> The 2 ohm concern has to do with the amp and NOT the HU.
If that is true, then do I just need to put together a 4 ohm system then? (amp and speakers and crossovers or whatever).
Yes or no is fine on this too - I have little understanding of the whole "ohm" thing (funny because I have five or six books on electronics....if I would just read the silly things...)
Thanks again.

I'm thinking kind of big - not big like the competition guys (they spend more on their systems than I did on this whole car) but I'm definitely going for some sound.
Fifteen years ago when I was up on all the hottest stuff Rockford Fosgate was the sht, and I've seen some references to that in these forums so I'm thinking I may just go that route.
Thanks for the help!

Gotta get permission from my "financial advisor" before actually buying what I want, though.....
Thanks! (can't find the beer mug dudes....my bad?)

For those who have experience what's the best way?
I haven't bought the gear yet, but when I do my plan is this:
1. remove all interior pieces that cover up what I need to reach
2. remove old speakers/amp
3. rewire & put in new speakers/amp
4. reinstall all interior pieces.
My thinking is this - I don't want to be taking off a panel, stuffing things in and then putting a panel back on.
Anyone have comments??
Thanks.
