Are you talking about a Generic High to Low converter? (speaker level input. 2 gain controls and then 2 RCA outputs)

all your doing is converting the factory speaker wire into a RCA signal. I assume you are installing an amp to power some subwoofers in the back. All you have to do is splice into the rear speaker wire connect it to the (in line converter) thats the actual name for the part you bought, and then plug the RCA cables from there to the amp.The converter should have four wires coming out of it on one side and female ports to plug the RCA cables on the other.pretty self explanatory positive-negative to positive-negative. when you splice off the speakers though make sure you still have wire going to them so either solder the wire or cut it a ways down.A in line converter is a good way to add a sub fill without spending a lot of money but i do recommend upgrading your system if your looking for a better sound.
Hope this helps...

My-bird99 is right. All you are going to do is to go

LR= Left Rear RR= Right Rear

speaker//////////////////////////Converter

LR + ------------------------- + Left
LR - ------------------------- - Left

RR + -------------------------- + Right
RR - -------------------------- - Right

Also you can find quick connect Splices. They basically snap on over the wire and you don't have to cut and splice.

They look like the set on the bottom part of the pic.

You can get them at most auto stores. Something like $2-4 dollars for a set.

3M. Got to love that company.
