Default PowerMaster alternators

I recently had to replace my stock alternator becuase of the system I put it. Right now I'm running a 1500watt amp and a 900 monoblock with a capacitor. I was driving down the freeway and my car just died on me. No start after that, the batt gauge was dropped all the way passed 8. The tow truck guy recommended a new alt. I also read around here that it's good to replace the stock alt anyhow. So, I stop by the local speed shop and put down 300$ for a 150amp alt by Powermaster. Now I'm not sure how much amps I will need, more or less if paying 300 was a rip. Damn thing isn't even polished. Just need your guy's opinions. Anyone know a great deal, please let me know. Thanks

I paid $300 for my power master 200 amp alt. But I had a bud that had connections. There are cheaper, but you get what you pay for.

I just bought a high output alternator from Excessive Amperage. Nathan, the owner, is a GREAT guy and builds the alternators himself. When I had a problem (my own stupidity) he went way out of his way to help me rectify it.

I paid $235 shipped for a 160amp alternator.

I got his name from a friend and I highly recommend him!
